September 17, 2006 -This weekend the Londonderry Locomotion U16 softball team won the "Fall Brawl Classic" softball tournament in Dracut, MA. By winning this tournament the team has qualified for the NSA National Tournament to be held next July in North Carolina. In the semi final game on Sunday the Locomotion beat The Diamond Gems 3-1, behind a strong complete game pitching effort by Erin G. Jana, Sara and Ellyse provided the offense for the Locomotion.

The Locomotion beat a very tough Fire Cracker Red Hots team 2-1 in the Championship game. Andrea pitched an outstanding game, going the distance for The Locomotion. Kristin had a key hit in the game and Elizabeth (YIB), after advancing to third on some very smart base running, scored the winning run on a suicide squeeze. Cristina also had two hits in the game for The Locomotion.
